This outdoor infrared illuminator is a light magnifier. It's made to work next to a black & white camera to provide better image quality in low-light conditions. As with all IR LED Illuminators these will emit a light red glow from the IR LEDs when it is dark. The glow is faint and not very bright. Illuminators are weatherproof for outdoor use and can see in total darkness.
The IR-10M and the IR-30M come with a DC Adaptor and their power cord range can be extended using our Camera Cables or a standard extension cord. The Camera Cables are available in lengths of up to 150'. The IR-60M has a AC plug that would require an outlet or standard extension cord to extend the distance of the power cord.
The distance that the light can be seen varies depending on many factors including if the IR is indoors or outdoors, other available light and if the light has the ability to bounce off other objects and walls.
